Exciting otter project

In the magical landscape of the north, I have been photographing and studying otters for a long time. Through careful observations, I have gained valuable insight into the otter's movements and life, which forms the basis for a new art installation at the Nature Gallery.

I am currently working on a sculpture depicting an otter family where the adults introduce their young to the underwater world. The otter is an animal that lives in two elements and moves with impressive elegance underwater. My goal is to capture this dynamic in the sculpture. After the modeling, the molds are completed, and they will then be mounted with the skins of a male, a female and a young otter – all drowned in fishing gear.

The photography project, which includes both above and below water images, provides an important visual reference for the modeling. This helps me recreate the otter's natural movements and expressions as realistically as possible. The goal of this sculpture is not only to show the otter's anatomy, but also its vitality and curiosity. When completed, it will become part of the Nature Gallery and will contribute to increased understanding and awareness of this fascinating animal.
