These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of www.helgehaukeland.com (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site and the content

The Site is operated by Helge Haukeland and presents work including documentary films, photo stories, exhibitions, hunting trips, school visits and related nature design content. The Site allows users to create an account, sign in (by email/password or Google), rent films, subscribe, contact us and, where applicable, receive our messages and replies. The Site is based in Norway and the Terms are governed by Norwegian law.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or, if you are a minor, use the Site with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is true, accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your login details (password and any connected Google account) confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may connect both an email/password and a Google (Gmail) account to the same account. Accounts are linked by matching email address.
You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Renting films and subscriptions

Rentals and subscriptions are paid for through our payment providers (Stripe and Vipps).
When you rent a film, access is granted for the period indicated at the time of purchase. Access automatically expires when the rental period ends.
Subscription access continues while the subscription is active and is renewed as described at the time of purchase.
Payment details are handled by our payment providers and are subject to their terms.
Refunds and cancellations are handled in accordance with applicable law and the specific offer.
If you have gained access to a film without payment having been completed due to a technical error or automatic process, or if our system has automatically refunded you an amount to which you were not entitled, you are obliged to notify us immediately and to pay the relevant amount to us manually without undue delay. Any failure to notify us or to pay may be treated as unjust enrichment, and we reserve the right to claim repayment or compensation for lost consideration in accordance with Norwegian law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site or its content to:

Copy, download, record, screenshot, capture, stream, redistribute, licence or otherwise reproduce our films, photos, posts or any other content, in whole or in part, except as explicitly permitted.
Share a film, your account, an active rental or subscription access with other people. Rental and subscription access is personal and intended for your own use only.
Circumvent technical protection measures, attempt to access restricted areas, or interfere with the Site's operation.
Upload or transmit any unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful material, or material that violates anyone's rights.
Use bots, scrapers or automated tools that burden the Site.
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.

6. Copyright and intellectual property

All content on the Site — including films, photographs, images, text, graphics, designs and other material — is the property of Helge Haukeland or his licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise stated, you may view content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Everything else requires our prior written permission. Since the content is made available to you, you agree that it is for your personal use only and that you will respect our rights.

7. Our messages and correspondence

Messages you send us and messages or replies we send you through the Site (including through the contact form and the messages feature) are intended to be kept private between you and us. You agree not to make our private correspondence public without our consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Site you consent to the processing of personal data set out in that policy.

9. Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services including Google (sign-in and analytics), Stripe and Vipps (payments). These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.

10. Changes to the Site and the Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. We will indicate the date of the latest revision below.

11. Limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits, data or goodwill, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, in connection with your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site if you violate these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the Site and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections on copyright, acceptable use and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the ordinary Norwegian courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.
